By accessing or using Lumen ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.
Lumen is a job analysis tool that uses AI to evaluate job postings and identify potential "ghost jobs" — listings that may not represent genuine hiring intentions. We analyze publicly available job posting data to provide risk assessments.
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
Free Access: Lumen currently provides one limited job-listing preview at no charge, including a risk score and up to two warning signals. A paid plan is required for the complete evidence breakdown, context, recommendations, saved report access, and additional checks. No credit card is required for the free preview.
Paid Plans: Paid subscriptions provide the monthly analysis allowance and features displayed on the pricing and checkout pages. Prices, billing frequency, plan limits, and other material terms are shown before you authorize payment. Subscription fees are billed in advance through Stripe.
Automatic Renewal and Consent: By selecting a paid plan and completing Stripe Checkout, you expressly authorize the recurring monthly charge shown at checkout. Your subscription automatically renews each month until you cancel it.
Cancellation: You may cancel online at any time through Account → Manage billing. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, you will retain access to paid features through that date.
Plan Limits: Monthly analysis allowances reset at the beginning of each billing period. Any unused analyses expire at the end of that billing period and do not roll over.

Accuracy: Lumen's analysis is AI-generated and provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any risk assessment.
Not Legal Advice: Our analysis does not constitute legal, career, or employment advice.
No Guarantee: A "low risk" score does not guarantee a job is legitimate, nor does a "high risk" score confirm a job is fraudulent.
No Employment Guarantee: Lumen does not guarantee that you will receive an interview, job offer, or employment by using the Service. Lumen does not determine whether you are qualified for a position or whether a particular job is suitable for you. You remain responsible for evaluating each opportunity, verifying information with the employer, deciding whether to apply, and making your own career decisions.
Third-Party Information: Analyses may rely on job listings, company websites, job boards, and other public or third-party information that may be incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, or changed without notice. Lumen does not control or endorse employers, recruiters, job boards, or third-party websites.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Lumen and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Lumen operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
